In this article you'll learn about Uploading a floor plan, then explore Pinning spaces to the map, and finally review Live occupancy view.

Uploading a floor plan

Go to Dashboard → Locations → [Floor] → Floor Map → Upload:

Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG (max 20 MB). We recommend SVG for crisp rendering at all zoom levels.

Best practices:

  • Use a top-down architectural drawing with clear room boundaries
  • Remove furniture clutter — Links overlays its own occupancy indicators
  • Label corridors and exits for wayfinding
Export your floor plan from AutoCAD or Revit as SVG for the highest quality result.

Pinning spaces to the map

After uploading, use the Floor Map Editor to place each space:

  1. Drag the space pin from the right panel onto the map
  2. Resize the hotspot outline to match the room's footprint
  3. Assign the corresponding space from the dropdown
  4. Click Save

Pinned spaces show real-time status (green/amber/red) directly on the map. Users can click a space to book it inline.

The mobile app uses the floor map for wayfinding — users see a route from their current location to a booked space.

Live occupancy view

The Floor Live View (accessible at /apps/map/:floorId) is a read-only, full-screen status board designed for lobby screens:

  • Refreshes every 10 seconds
  • Shows room name, status color, and current booking
  • Supports kiosk mode (auto-fullscreen, no browser chrome)

Deploy this on a large TV at reception or in hallways so staff can see at a glance which spaces are free.
