Custom roles (Enterprise)
Enterprise workspaces can create roles with any combination of permissions:
- Go to Settings → Roles → + New Role
- Name the role (e.g. "Facilities Team")
- Toggle individual permissions on/off
- Assign the role to team members
Example custom role — Reception Staff:
- ✅ Book any space
- ✅ Register and check in visitors
- ✅ Cancel any booking
- ❌ Manage spaces or devices
- ❌ Access analytics
Custom roles are available on the Business and Enterprise plans.
Space-level access control
Restrict individual spaces to specific teams or roles:
- Open the space settings: Spaces → [Space] → Access
- Under "Who can book this space?" switch from "All Members" to "Specific Groups"
- Add teams or individual users
Use cases:
- Executive boardroom — restricted to Senior Leadership
- Server room — IT team only
- Recording studio — Marketing team only
Combine space-level access with approval workflows for sensitive or high-demand spaces.
